BEN RECOGNISES NATIONAL CAR RENTAL

Winner of Henley Cup for outstanding charity support

National Car Rental has been awarded the prestigious Henley Cup for outstanding support of the BEN charity over the last 12 months. The award was presented to National by Tudor Evans of BEN and TV Presenter Penny Mallory at the BEN Annual Luncheon which took place at Draper’s Hall, London on 21st May. Awarded on an annual basis, the Henley Cup is bestowed upon the organisation or group which has given outstanding support and commitment to BEN, with its volunteering activities.

BEN provides help and support to people from across the automotive and related industries, who face hardship or distress. The BEN Annual Luncheon is regarded as one of the most important occasions in the industry calendar with key figures and organisations attending.

Adam Hanrahan, National Volunteers Co-ordinator for BEN, comments “We wanted to recognise the fantastic support National has given us over the last year. The company generously provided placement of their graduates for a month to support the work we were undertaking. In addition, the training team did some superb work with donating spaces for BEN volunteers to attend National’s in-house training sessions and helped us develop BEN’s Volunteer’s Strategy. It is great to see their staff actively volunteering with us and supporting the important work we do for those in need in our industry.”

John Leigh, Managing Director for National Car Rental, says “BEN’s work is invaluable, supporting people from our industry and related fields when they need it most. We are both delighted and honoured to have been awarded the Henley Cup in recognition of all the hard work our staff put in to supporting this essential work.”
