Fresno

Fresno is situated in the middle of the San Joaquin Valley – a region famous for its agricultural heritage and proliferation of home grown produce. It is California’s fifth largest city after Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco. The word Fresno is Spanish for ash tree which is why the city has an ash leaf on its flag. Fresno is the nearest city to Yosemite National Park and home to three public parks, the Chaffee Zoological Gardens and Kearney Mansion within Kearney Park.
