San José

Situated in the region known as Silicon Valley at the southern end of the San Francisco Bay area is San José. Because of the city’s inland position and protection from the surrounding mountains, the climate in San José is drier than nearby San Francisco and less foggy. Attractions of note include Raging Waters, the Mexican Heritage Plaza, the Children’s Discovery Museum, the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, the Tech Museum of Innovation, Japantown and the Flea Market. The city is well served by transport routes including Interstates 280, 680 and 880, US Route 101 and State Routes 17, 85, 87 and 237.
