Boca Raton

Sun-drenched, palm-fringed and candy coloured, the city of Boca Raton is what newcomers would expect of Florida. The famous Boca Raton Resort & Club which lies alongside Lake Boca Raton is what first initiated the city’s tourism in the 1920’s and much of the city still reflects its Spanish-Moorish building style. Boca Raton’s historic Town Hall is a focal point in the city.

The city boasts 40 parks, four miles of public beaches, two golf courses, tennis courts, museums, theatres, cinemas, art galleries and hosts the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Downtown Boca Raton is dominated by Mizner Park which is not only a pleasant place to enjoy the sun with its many walkways, fountains and sculptures, but also comprises restaurants, cinemas and an amphitheatre at which free open air concerts and other events take place throughout the year.
