Daytona Beach

The name Daytona is, of course, synonomous with cars and speed. In fact, car racing on the city’s hard-packed beaches has been taking place since the turn of the 20th century and many land speed records have been broken on the famous Ormond Beach. The National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing was founded in Daytona Beach in 1947 and the Daytona International Speedway opened in 1959 - and is still the place to go to fulfill a need for speed.

This family friendly city also boasts a baseball stadium, golf courses, tennis courts, turtle watching, kayaking, parasailing, airboat rides and scuba diving in addition to all the usual attractions – restaurants, bars, hotels, clubs, shops, etc – that you would expect from one of Florida’s foremost cities.
