An option, that if purchased at an additional charge per day or included in your reserved rate, eliminates responsibility for damage to or loss of a National rental vehicle as long as terms of the rental agreement have not been violated.

Collision Damage Waiver is referred to as Damage Liability Waiver for rentals in the UK.

Collision Damage Waiver is NOT insurance.

It covers any damage to or loss of the rental vehicle.

Please note that minimum excess limit that CDW covers you for, may vary by country and vehicle type.

Please refer to the rental agreement, rental jacket and any underlying policies for complete terms and conditions.

For rentals in the United States and Canada, protection applies as long as the terms of the rental agreement have not been violated. Inclusive rates will include CDW and Theft Protection (TP).

For rentals in Latin America and the Caribbean, inclusive rates will include CDW and Theft Protection (where available) with a deductible varying from $500-$1500 USD.


Exceptions

	Argentina Purchase of CDW is mandatory and not covered by credit cards in Argentina. Some credit cards however, may cover the CDW deductible. Please contact your credit card company to verify coverage.
	Canada The deductibles for rentals at National corporately owned locations are as follows: 25 and older age group - The responsibility of the customer is up to the first CAD 300 of damage to the vehicle. 21 - 24 age group - The responsibility of the customer is up to the first CAD 500 damage to the vehicle.
	United States Collision Damage Waiver is not available in Illinois.
