Cancellation Charges

We will not charge for reservations cancelled 7 days or more before your pick up time. If you cancel your booking after this time, the following charges apply:

• If you cancel your booking less than 7 days before pick up time, you will be charged either the full cost of your booking or up to a maximum of £20 whichever is the lesser.
• If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before your pick up time, you will be charged either the full cost of your booking or up to a maximum of £50, whichever is the lesser.

In the event of a cancellation, your credit card will be refunded, less the above charge.

No-shows & late or early arrivals

Your vehicle will be held for 2 hours from the specified reserved time. After this time we cannot guarantee a vehicle will be available upon arrival.

For all airport bookings, however, where a flight number has been supplied the vehicle will be held until the flight has landed and cleared. Where a flight delay results in a customer arriving after the station closing time a member of staff will wait for the flight to land and clear. If the delay is in excess of one hour after the station closing time an out of hours fee may apply. Where no flight number has been supplied we will hold the vehicle for a period of up to 2 hours or until station closing time, which ever is the earlier. Staff will not wait beyond closing time where no flight number is supplied.

When booking your vehicle please ensure the dates entered are correct, if your circumstances change and you require the vehicle on different dates/times please amend your reservation online.

Customers who arrive 1 day or more early at our rental stations with a reservation that does not match the current date will not be able to use the reservation reserved online. The branch may be able to offer an alternate reservation but please note the rates will not match the online reservation.

If you fail to collect your car on the specified pick-up date, we reserve the right to charge a no-show fee of either the cost of the booking or up to a maximum of £50, whichever is the lesser. In the event of a no-show, your credit card will be refunded, less the no-show charge.

Unused Rental Days

Please note that any unused rental days on prepaid reservations are non-refundable.

Rules and regulations - check before you travel

If you are planning to drive to abroad, you will need to be aware of your responsibilities to follow driving laws in your destination country. We strongly recommend you make your own investigations before travelling.

Driving abroad in Winter conditions

Whilst driving abroad in winter conditions, legally some countries will have restrictions on the equipment a vehicle should carry or have fitted, this can include snow tyres. Whilst driving abroad its important to adhere to the driving laws in that country. Failure to do so could result in a fine or temporary loss of your vehicle. Snow tyres and snow chains are available to hire for an additional fee and must be requested at time of booking. For online bookings where the pick-up country specified requires snow tyres a charge will normally be added to your reservation and these will be fitted to the vehicle. However, if you are planning to drive cross-border please check country requirements and request equipment be added to your reservation where appropriate by contacting our Call Centre.

We strongly recommend you make your own investigations as to whether or not you will require any additional winter equipment before travelling abroad. The RAC website (www.rac.co.uk/driving-abroad) provides additional information and tips on driving abroad.

Morocco

Additional Driver Policy

Additional driver charge is MAD 120.00 + tax per rental. A maximum of two additional driver's are allowed per rental.

Age Requirements

Minimum rental age is 23 years for all car groups. Maximum rental age is 75 years. There is no young drivers charge.

Cross Border Policy

Vehicles not permitted to be taken out of Morocco.

Delivery / Collection

Delivery & Collection is available during office hours free of charge in Hotels, Railway Stations and Harbours within the city. Outside city limits is charged at MAD 100.00 + tax up to 15kms, and an extra MAD 3.00 + tax for each additional km (over 15kms). Delivery & Collection is allowed out of hours on request only. The same conditions apply as during office hours but there is an additional out of hours charge of MAD 250.00 + tax.

Insurance Excess

Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Waiver limits the customer’s financial responsibility for loss, damage or theft of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents is 30 000.00 MAD. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting, please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies. If you would like to reduce or remove your excess responsibility please ask the rental staff when collecting your vehicle about additional products that are on offer.

License Requirements

Full licence that has been valid for a minimum of two years is required. An International driver's permit is not required if the licence is written in French, English, Spanish or Arabic. Driving on un-paved roads is not allowed. Should your driving license not be resident to the country of origin of your booking we reserve the right to charge an appropriate rate for your country of residence.

One Way Rentals

One way rentals are allowed between all locations in Morocco and for all cars free of charge. The minimum length of rental is four days. International one ways are not allowed.

Out of Hours Policy

Out of hours pick ups are available for all locations on request. An out of hours charge of MAD 250.00 + tax will apply.

Payment Policy

Acceptable method of payments are Visa, Amex, Diners, MasterCard, National Charge Cards, National Vouchers, Travellers Cheques and Eurocheques. Cash is also accepted for rentals up to MAD 10,000. Cash is not accepted for car groups FFMR (Fullsize SUV), FFNR (Fullsize SUV), FVMR (Fullsize Passenger Van) and PDMR (Premium). Please note: A Credit Card number and expiration date is required at time of booking for car groups FFMR (Fullsize SUV), FVMR (Fullsize Passenger Van) and LDAR (Luxury) in order to validate the booking - this is applicable, even if the payment is made by voucher. A deposit of the excess amount plus a tank of fuel is required. The deposit can be paid in cash up to MAD 5000.00.

Refuelling Policy

Car must be returned with the same amount of fuel, or refuelling charges will apply as follows: Pump Fuel Price (current public price valid in the country): Diesel = MAD 7.33 per liter, Diesel 350 = MAD 10.24 per liter, Leaded/Unleaded = MAD 11.36 per liter. Refuelling Charge Price (pump fuel price plus service charge): Diesel = MAD 8.00 per liter, Diesel 350 = MAD 10.70 per liter, Leaded/Unleaded = MAD 11.52 per liter. Fuel prices are subject to change at any time.

Roadside Assistance

Full details will be advised to the customer at time of pick up, but in case of an accident: All the specific documents are inside the car as well as the form to complete with the third party, if its only collision damage. If there is personal damage, the local authorities (Police) will need to be informed and will take care of everything. In any case, the accident must be reported to the nearest Alamo/National branch.

Special Equipment

Baby Seat (CSB) - MAD 250.00 + tax per rental. The Replacement Amount is MAD 1500.00 + tax. Suitable for 1 - 3 years. On Request. Toddler Seat (CST) - MAD 250.00 + tax per rental. The Replacement Amount is MAD 1500.00 + tax. Suitable for 4 - 7 years. On Freesale. GPS (NVS) - MAD 120.00 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of MAD 1440.00 + tax per rental.  The replacement amount is MAD 3300.00.  On Freesale. Booster Seats (BST) - not available. Infant Seats (CSI) - not available. Luggage rack (LUG) - Not available. All equipments is available at all locations and for all cars. When renting child seats, the age of the child/ren must be indicated at time of booking. This country does not provide reflective jackets and is not required by law to do so.
