On the last day of the maximum period, the renter must return to a National rental location to request a new Rental Agreement for additional days. Additional days are subject to availability if a vehicle is not reserved before hand.
The maximum rental period of 56 days applies to Canada and the United States.
The maximum rental period is 60 days in the following locations:-

- Chile
- Costa Rica
- El Salvador
- Germany
- Mexico
- Nicaragua
- The Netherlands
- The Netherlands Antilles
- Switzerland
The maximum rental period is 30 days in the following countries:-
- Australia
- Austria
- Croatia
- Cyprus
- Denmark
- Dominican Republic
- France
- Greece
- Guam
- Ireland
- Israel
- Malta
- Mauritius
- Norway
- Portugal
- South Africa
- Spain
