Additional drivers are free of charge. All drivers should be present at the time of rental pickup.

Minimum age is 20 and there is no maximum age.

Vehicles are not allowed to travel out of Japan.

Collision Damage Waiver - CDW - is optional and available for all vehicles. This insurance reduces the customer's damage responsibility on the rented vehicle and third party property to 0.00. All customers are required to pay the Non-Operation Charge – NOC - in the event of damage to the vehicle. This amount is 20,000 - 50,000 JPY depending on which location the vehicle is returned. Payment of NOC is mandatory and cannot be covered by an insurance. If CDW is declined, the renter will be responsible for the sum of the 50,000 - 100,000 JPY depending on the vehicle rented. In addition, the renter will be liable for damages to third party property. The CDW does not have a deductible. 1000.00 per day - Compact to Full-size 1300.00 per day - Mini-Van and Fullsize Van

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel. Option 1- We Refill This option allows the renter to pay Alamo at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A surcharge will apply. Option 2- You Refill This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

Personal Accident Insurance - PAI - is included in Regular Course and Recommended Course Rates. This insurance off 30 million JPY per person for death when customer accepts Recommended Course, and is 10 million JPY when customer accept Regular Course 7,500.00 JPY per person per day up to 180 days for hospital expenses, and 5,000.00 JPY per person per day up to 180 days for medical expenses - for both Recommended Course and Regular Course.

A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit, and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction. Credit Cards honored: American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®. No cash or debit cards are accepted. An authorization in the amount of estimated rental charges will be taken at the time of pickup. An adjustment in charges will be returned once the rental agreement is closed.

In case of a breakdown, contact Nippon Rent-A-Car Road Service, at 0120-081-365. In the event of an accident, the customer must call the police, file a police report and call Nippon Rent-A-Car Accident Reception Center at 0120-220-865.

All renters must meet the location's minimum age requirements. The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years of age. All renters must present a valid Japanese drivers license or a valid international driving permit under the Geneva Motoring Convention, dated September 19, 1949 is required. Additionally, a valid assport must be presented at the time of car pick up. All renters must present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental.

Third Party Liability (TPL) is included in Time and Mileage rates. It includes unlimited bodily injury/death. As for property damage, it is 30,000,000 JPY (deductible 50,000 Yen) if customer accepts Recommended Course, and is 30,000,000 JPY (deductible 50,000 Yen) if customer accepts Regular Course.
