Fort Worth still maintains some of its Old West charm, and if you want to learn more about it, consider stopping by the Fort Worth Stockyards. It's the only place in the world where you can see a twice-daily cattle drive. As you walk along the brick walkways, you'll also find a variety of shopping and dining opportunities. Or check out the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, which showcases stories of women from the American West who displayed courage and resilience.

For dining options, you have your pick from fast casual taco restaurants like Torchy’s and Velvet Taco, to fine dining options like the iconic Lonesome Dove Bistro and plenty in between. Ft. Worth is filled with great options to treat clients and coworkers after a full day of work.

Traffic and Parking

A growing population means more cars on the road, and Fort Worth feels this during rush hour. In fact, the I-35 West and I-30 interchange is one of the worst interchanges for congestion in the country. To avoid some of this congestion, plan ahead by scheduling an extra 15-20 minutes to get to your destination or avoid rush hour if possible.

On the other hand, if you're driving to Fort Worth and need parking, there are several options downtown. Sundance Square has three parking garages with over 3,500 total spaces. Additionally, Magnolia Green Garage near Southside offers 320 spaces. Or choose one of the metered parking spots in the central business district, medical district, and along University Street.

If you're flying to Fort Worth, you'll arrive at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The airport is about 23 miles northeast of downtown Fort Worth, which is where you'll find the Fort Worth Convention Center. This large multi-purpose space holds year-round events, including performances, conventions, and trade shows. It's also within walking distance of thousands of hotel rooms, plenty of restaurants, and some great shopping and entertainment opportunities.
