Additional drivers must meet all renter requirements. Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement if they visit any rental location and present their driving licence. A daily surcharge of 18.33 GBP will apply at airport locations and 15.60 GBP at all other locations.

The minimum age to rent for all vehicles is 30. Renters aged 25 or older may rent the car categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate and Standard as well as Vans. No additional surcharges apply. Renters aged 19 years or older who have held a full driving licence for at least one year, can access a vehicle through Enterprise Car Club. Find more information at www.enterprisecarclub.co.uk.

Vehicles can be driven in Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Travels to Europe mainland are not permitted. The local branch requires a 48-hour notice period to arrange cross border travel. The notice period refers to two full business days between Monday and Friday. Customers must always inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and require authorisation. Additional charges apply.

Damage Waiver reduces the liability you are responsible for in the event of damage to and or theft of the vehicle. If Damage Waiver is included in your reservation then the excess amounts applicable are:  cars 1000.00 GBP, MINI MPVs, MPVs, commercial vehicles 1150.00 GBP, all premiums and 4x4s  1400.00 GBP. In Northern Ireland the excess on all commercial vehicles is 1400.00 GBP. If Damage Waiver is not included in your booking then it is available to purchase and  the excess amount  for all vehicles is zero.  Customers who can provide independent and verified provision to cover damage and theft to the vehicle may be able to decline Damage Waiver - you may wish to determine if your personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If you decline Damage Waiver you will be required to pay these charges and then seek compensation yourself from your carrier. Damage Waiver is not insurance.

All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it was rented from will be subject to a one-way fee of up to £150. One-way rentals are allowed within all the UK, including Northern Ireland.

Excess Protection is an optional coverage that reduces the applicable Damage Waiver excess (see Damage Waiver terms) to all cars 100.00 GBP, MINI MPVs, MPVs and commercial vehicles  250.00 GBP, all premiums and 4x4s 500.00 GBP. In Northern Ireland the reduced excess on all commercial vehicles is 500.00 GBP. You may wish to check if your personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If you decline Excess Protection then you are required to pay any applicable Damage Waiver excess and seek compensation from your carrier. The price of Excess Protection varies by vehicle size and the prices are inclusive of VAT. Premium location fee applies to airports.

You will be required to return the vehicle with a level of fuel equal to the amount provided at the start of your rental as indicated on your rental agreement. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, you will be required to pay for the fuel needed to return the fuel level to that displayed on your rental agreement at the prices displayed at the branch. Optional fuel policies are available at participating locations.

Mileage- all vehicles include unlimited mileage.

All major debit and credit cards (issued by either Visa, Mastercard or American Express) are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter’s name. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. Cash, cheques, prepaid cards, Diners Club and Discover Card are not accepted. For the car categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Standard and Vans a deposit of £200 is required. These vehicles may be rented with a debit or credit card. Small and Large People Carriers, Compact Elite, SUVs and Premium vehicles require a deposit of £500. For Luxury and Executive vehicles, a deposit of £1000 applies. A credit card is mandatory to rent these vehicles.

London Airports Only - Debit cards are accepted at the time of rental with a round trip plane ticket or flight itinerary that shows the renter's name and discloses the return date. Debit cards are not accepted from local customers. Local renters must present a valid credit card in the renter's name. If using a payment source registered outside of the United Kingdom, this location cannot be responsible for any fluctuations in the currency exchanges while the deposit is being held.

Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) is an optional 24-hour emergency service including tyre and glass repair or replacement costs except when part of a larger repair, replacement keys costs and all recovery and call out charges as result of a fault caused by the renter.
RAP does not apply if there is a breach of the rental agreement or if a wrong fuel type is used. The renter pays a flat-rate fee that covers all roadside assistance services. Before purchasing RAP, it is advised to determine if a personal coverage is adequate to cover these charges. If RAP is declined, the renter will be required to pay any applicable charges and seek compensation from the carrier of personal coverage. RAP is not insurance.

All drivers must present a full valid driving licence. If the driving licence is written in a language and characters different to those of the country of rental, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licences from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
All renters must provide a valid photo ID such as driving licence, passport or ID card. Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK.
